TU101 Do and Dash Dewberry Designs, Plaid and other vendors 10:30-12:30 PM, 1:30-6:00 PM “Do and Dash” will be an exciting day of meeting our great vendors, doing different projects and seeing ideas for you to teach and do when you get back home. See how many vendors and friends you can meet while doing each of these different projects.

WE200 Donna’s Painting Session Donna Dewberry, Creator of One Stroke 8:00-12:00 PM Donna will share new tricks and skills with a variety of brushes. Learn upcoming trends, projects and painting techniques to broaden your student base. Donna will share her knowledge on the newest paint products.
WE201 What’s New at Plaid? 1:30-3:30 PM You will not want to miss the opportunity to attend this class! During this two hour class you will learn about many new, innovative and interesting products manufactured for the Arts and Crafts industry. Many of these products can be creatively combined with your One StrokeTM painting talents. This class will be taught by Plaid’s Core Ambassadors who are full of energy, very artistic, lots of fun, and make this class one not to miss out on! There will also be product give a-ways and samples. Come join in the fun!
WE202 Hydrangea Basket Angela Anderson 4:00-6:00 PM Back by popular demand! Angela Anderson’s class last year was so great that we had to scramble to add another class so more of you could attend. This year we are prepared and Angela has created another beautiful design to teach you. You will have two chances to come and learn her secrets of how to use color and placement to create elegant designs of your own.
WE203 Home Décor-Clay PolyForm Clay 4:00-6:00 PM New for 2008! Donna Dewberry has developed a new Teacher Certification using Polyform Clay. We are bringing clay into Home Decorating! What was that? Home Decorating??!! Yes, that’s right, Home Decorating! As a painter, when you go shopping you look at surfaces and imagine what you can paint on them. With Clay you won’t look at furniture or home accent pieces the same way again! When you see a plain lamp base in the store or at a garage sale you will immediately imagine the three dimensional motifs that can be add to it! Want to know how? Come to this class and see what clay can bring to your business! Get a feel for working with clay and find out more about the exciting opportunities this new medium can bring to you. This isn’t the same clay that you played with as a child; this clay is a lot more fun!
WE204 Fabric Painting Extraordinaire! Kathee Baba 4:00-6:00 PM We have featured Kathee several times in The Stroking Edge Magazine. If you don’t subscribe to the on-line magazine then you’re missing seeing some really beautiful work. Kathee will show you how to create a romantic heart-shaped design with morning glories and a delightful hummingbird on fabric. Just bring a light denim or chambray shirt (you can even paint on a T-shirt) and let the fun begin!
WE205 HD Water Lily Canvas Jane McKenzie 4:00-6:00 PM At the 2007 Super Convention, Donna painted a beautiful Water Lily Design for the Maria Dewberry Children’s Foundation Auction. The response received from this painting was so overwhelming that we just had to include it in this year’s convention too! Jane McKenzie has done numerous HD paintings since this paint’s debut, so we naturally had to invite her to teach this design. Come learn how to paint this landscape and also learn some of Jane’s tricks to achieving more beautiful designs using this amazing paint!

TH301 Wall Borders and Fauxing April Numamoto 1:30-3:30 PM Flowing, Graceful, Relaxing, all three words describe April’s painting technique. April will teach you how you can add these descriptions to your painting. In this class, you will learn how to paint a sample border, but that’s not all! April will give you a sneak peek into the new Wall and Faux Finishing Certification! You heard it right, we are bringing back the Wall and Faux Finishing Certification in 2008! If you haven’t signed up for the certification yet, come to this class to find out more!
TH302 Glitz and Glitter Card Barbara Trombley 1:30-3:30 PM Barbara Trombley, the creator of Art Glitter is back! In this class you will be using a great new natural product! No, that is not a typo, Barbara has developed a new natural fiber glitter that contains browns found in nature! This new earthy material creates a look like never before! You won’t be able to call this brown “mousy”! No other glitter catches, magnifies and reflects light like Art Glitter does! All of Barbara’s glitters are vibrant and have a shine so intense you’ll think they have a light of their own! This Glitter is not just an accent glitter it is an art all its own!
TH303 No Sew Project Gwen Schaarschmidt 1:30-3:30 PM Another “Back by Popular Demand” instructor! Attendees of Gwen’s class last year reported being stopped many times by others who asked, “What class did you do that project in?” We have brought Gwen back with a creative and useful project using new fabrics and innovative products available from Dewberry Designs! You will learn how to make a quick and easy organization board using folding techniques that you can teach to your students, sell at fairs and craft shows or give away as gifts or you can make one for yourself to keep track of all the tips and tricks you learned at this year’s convention!
TH304 Animal Painting (CLASS IS FULL) Jane Zhao 1:30-3:30 PM Learn how to paint animals using enhanced One Stroke techniques. Learn how to change the facial expressions of animals from fierce to friendly, from sad to happy from bored to surprised. Learn how to make hair look real and give a realistic depth to the eyes. All this and it is still quick and easy!
